Pamukkale Named One of the
"Natural Wonders Of The World"


Pamukkale is a natural wonder of the world formed by calcium water over thousand of years. At a temperature of 35 C the waters come out of the ground, fall down the mountain side and form many pools which overflow to form stalactites, hence the name 'Cotton Castle' (the translation of Pamukkale).

Bathing in the pleasantly worm waters has a positive effects on all the people with problems of blood circulation, nevre system, heart, rheumatism, skin diseases etc. The ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis dating from 190 BC can aiso be seen in this area.
